Unit trust: A form of collective investment constituted under a trust deed and common in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, Singapore, Malaysia and the United Kingdom (and also the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man). Unit trusts are open-ended funds. A unit trust has a specified investment objective.
