| Profile | The Icelandic Securities Depository Ltd (ISD) was established in June 1997 and is the only central depository in Iceland. The ISD received its operrating licence from the Ministry of Commerce on June 9th, 2000 and commenced operation on June 14th. 2000. ISD is a company with limited liability and the shareholders are all the commercial banks, major securities firms, largest pension funds, some companies listed on the Icelandic Stock Exchange and the Icelandic Treasury. | |
