Lipper Fitzrovia's thirteenth annual "Ireland Fund Encyclopaedia" reveals key data on funds and on the market shares of fund administration and custody service providers.

INTRODUCTION RESULTS

INTRODUCTION
The research shows that funds serviced in Ireland reached US$ 1633.3 billion (1209.3 billion euros) as at 30 June 2007, reflecting annual growth of almost 35 percent.

Total net assets in Ireland-domiciled funds reached US$ 1100.1 billion in 2894 funds and sub-funds as at 30 June 2007.  Ireland's continued ability to attract both domiciled UCITS funds and non-domiciled funds for administration or custody services has resulted in the largest asset growth in three years, with a combined figure of 5646 funds serviced by the industry.

Lipper Fitzrovia shows that State Street has maintained the largest market share both for fund assets under administration (US$ 228.8 billion) and under custody (US$ 239.6 billion).

Of 342 fund management companies with funds domiciled in Dublin, US fund management companies account for the largest proportion by total net assets (US$ 485.4 billion).  Of the largest fund promoters, Barclays/BGI has assets under management of US$ 134.1 billion, followed by Goldman Sachs (US$ 81.9 bn), Russell Investment (US$ 53.8 bn), HSBC (US$ 37.3 bn) and Vanguard (US$ 39.6bn).
