A practical look at Basel II for the operations department. There has been a lot in the press about Basel II from a risk management point of view but very little on the impacts to operations. This course seeks to redress the balance giving operations managers and their staff an overview of the key points of Basel II and then looking in detail at the operational aspects. The course is a very practical course looking at Basel II from the starting point of the operational processes with just an overview of the risk calculations. It will look at how the operational risk can be reduced within a banks securities operations.
