My client, a tier 1 US Investment Bank, requires a suitable candidate to take on the role of Global Product Manager to head their Fund of Hedge Fund department. The successful candidates role would be to set the strategic direction of the business, you will be an energetic, strategic thinker. Fluent in market and financial analysis, resourceful and execution-driven and have strong cross-functional/business collaboration skills as you will work across multiple teams within the bank. Also important are the ability to: synthesize large amounts of information into crisp recommendations; present and defend recommendations to a variety of audiences; manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion effectively.
You will be responsible to develop and drive product strategy and product development plans for custody, fund administration and transfer agency. Manage a global team of product managers and product analysts, manage product financials (P&L) as well as product capital investment strategy. Build understanding and analyze industry trends and competitive landscape, provide technical product support to sales team and define a pricing strategy. Source and screen potential acquisition and partnership opportunities and work with functional partners (operations, human resources, technology) to execute transactions. Position product and presentation key messages to external clients/prospects as well as senior management and represent at conferences and industry forums.
The successful candidate must have over 7 years experience in product management, strategy consulting, strategic planning and working in the hedge fund, hedge fund administration and / or outsourcing space. Strong financial, analytical and strategic skill set. A strong knowledge of MS Office is essential along with the ability to take the initiative and be a self starter.
