METHODOLOGY
isf asked lenders to rate borrowers and vice versa. In order to qualify, counterparties were expected to receive a minimum of 7 responses.

Ranking methodology entails respondents rating their counterparties out of five (five being excellent and one very poor) across 11 separate service categories. For each service category, a counterparty's score is calculated as an average of the scores for that service across all respondents. The counterparty's total score across all service categories is calculated, with the overall unweighted table depicting this as a percentage expression of the maximum possible score of 55 points.

The scores are given weightings according to three diferent criteria. Depicted here are results weighted by size of the responding counterparty. This shows the effect of allowing larger players to have a greater influence. To determine the scores weighted in this way, a multiplier of one to five was applied depending on the size of the respondent.

The full survey write-up includes scores weighted by importance of the relationship to the responding counterparty and the effect of considering scores only from the respondent's top 10 clients.
