Tony Freeman strikes out from DTCC Europe to pursue new opportunities
February 28, 2020

Tony Freeman has left his post as Executive Director of Government Relations at the European arm of DTCC (The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation) after almost 16 years at the firm.

At DTCC Europe, he focused on policy issues that affect the firm and its clients, working closely with colleagues in Brussels, Washington DC and Hong Kong.

Based in the London office, Freeman was heavily involved in DTCC's response to Brexit and was slated to be responsible for relationships with UK regulators and policy makers following the UK departure from the European Union.

He has also been actively involved in discussions around cryptocurrency, emerging fintech and operational resilience.

His profile on LinkedIn today clearly lists him as a Consultant.

A DTCC spokesman said: ‘We thank Tony for his valuable contributions and wish him continued success in the future."

He has previously held posts at Omgeo, JP Morgan, ICMA, ISMA and Robert Fleming.
