January 27, 2020

Specialist recruitment firm HornbyChapman has announced a joint venture with Adapa Advisory (Pty) Ltd in Africa to focus on senior-level recruitment to financial services companies.

Adapa Advisory provides strategic insights and pragmatic advice to help financial institutions enhance their business performance in the post trade and securities services arena. The venture will initially focus on South Africa and will be used as a base for demand in other markets in the region.

Paul A Chapman, Co-Founder and Managing Director of HornbyChapman, said: "I have known Mark [Mark Kerns, CEO of Adapa] and the team for many years and believe combining our forces makes for a highly compelling proposition.

"We very much look forward to working together for the benefit of our mutual clients, wherever in Africa they may be based."

Kerns said: "This is an exciting time to be launching our joint venture with HornbyChapman. With the recent launch of Adapa Advisory in the UK and South Africa the timing reflects the importance of executive sourcing and search.

"The joint venture will leverage our background in post-trade and securities services in Africa with that of HornbyChapman's expertise in executive recruitment.

"We bring many years of in-country knowledge, connections and profile and HornbyChapman complements that with a global reputation and market knowledge.

"The continued developmental growth in Africa is driving demand for skilled resources in the region and HornbyChapman in partnership with Adapa Advisory creates an insightful and relevant provider in the market."
