ATON and Alfa Capital Management in NSD first
July 13, 2017

National Settlement Depository (NSD), Russia's central securities depository, says it has successfully settled the first transactions using its two new services – Linked Transactions and Instruction Prioritization. It says that ATON and Alfa-Capital Management Company, leaders in the Russian stock market, have become the first companies to use these services.

Both services were launched in spring 2017, and are intended to facilitate more efficient management of assets. The Linked Transactions service allows customers to create a pool of linked instructions to be executed consecutively in accordance with specific conditions. The Prioritization service allows clients to prioritize the execution of instructions when settling securities transactions on a DVP(delivery versus payment) basis (transaction code 19/0) or FOP (free of payment) basis (transaction code 16).

Denis Buryakov, Managing Director for Depository Operations, NSD, said: "The new services increase the efficiency of settlements and let clients manage instructions to deliver assets in a flexible manner."

Olga Titova, Head of ATON Depository, said: "As one of the leaders in the provision of brokerage services, ATON pays special attention to transaction speed and efficient asset management. NSD's services let us use a flexible approach to settlement processes for assets; they significantly raise the quality of client services and meet our high standards."

Elena Rodina, Operational Director, Alfa-Capital Management, said: "Services related to efficient asset management are always very attractive to market players which strive to enhance the quality of their services. We use state-of-the-art technological opportunities provided by our partners, and it creates a powerful impetus to promote investments in the Russian market."
