Northern Trust has reported strong growth in its insurance franchise, with new insurance mandates accounting for a 20pct increase in global insurance assets serviced over the past 18 months. Since January 2009, Northern Trust has won 16 new mandates and has added more than USD95bn in new insurance assets, and now has more than 230 insurance relationships worldwide.
