This opportunity provides the prospect to work for a well respected and successful global provider of investment software systems, and due to global sales success and growth they are expanding their sales operations over here in Europe. Hence they’re appointing a Business Development Manager to take commercial responsibility for their new portfolio management & fund accounting solutions division for the UK and Ireland Territory, with participation in Global deals as required. This is a senior “hands on” role with a relatively blank canvass and autonomy to develop the UK territory with new “leading edge” technology, and responsibilities include:
• Driving business development efforts within your territory to deliver personal and corporate sales targets, and business plan objectives. • Building and maintaining strategic relationships with prospective clients and market participants (i.e. management consultancies, partners) to enhance the company’s position and potential to achieve sales targets and objectives. • Create, manage, revise and own ‘go to market’ propositions for the company within your territory, and establish most effective marketing channels and communication media to support these efforts including building PR process • Working closely with consulting and marketing within the company to manage sales situations in order to help ensure sales success.
Appropriate candidates will have the following experience and skills:
• Strong working knowledge of the Fund Accounting industry is a pre-requisite as our client wants a credible industry ambassador for their company. • This is not necessarily a “traditional vendor sales role” so we are open to considering different profile types, hence you could have experience in any of the following types of role: o Sales, client management or RFP team member within a financial institution in the TPA / custody domain. o Sales, client or account management with a software vendor or consultancy. • Customer focused and strong networking ability. • Good commercial acumen and ability to initiate, manage and close complex, high value, and long sales cycles. • Growing company natured individual, who wants to take on a key role in ensuring this companys’ European success.
